Spectracolor Series A Colored Coatings

Spectracolor A-Series coatings are solvent-based coatings consisting of 15 colors. They are applied via spraying with conventional, HVLP, or LVLP paint gun systems. Once sprayed, they impart beautiful bright and transparent colors with high hardness. These colored coatings are highly durable in sun and rain. They are UV resistant and non-fading.  They are designed for either exterior or interior environments. Once sprayed, these coatings dry in 15 to 20 minutes depending on the ambient temperature.  A Clear Base is available to produce lighter tones via mixing.  A Reducer/Thinner is also available for thinning the solution for use with unique spraying systems.

Where Used: Spectra Color A-Series coatings are highly applicable on bare metal, patinaed metal, wood, and plastic.   When used on top of patinaed metal, they enhance the effect of the patina, or change the saturation or color tone of the patinaed metal. 

Transparency Versions: Colors are supplied in high transparency versions i.e LA1, or the less transparent/higher color saturation versions i.e DA1.  The LA1 versions are produced by mixing the DA1 versions with the Clear Base in a 1:1 ratio. 

 *Note:  These colors are have a higher viscosity and is recommend to be thinned with Spectracolor A Thinner.  These products are packaged with a separate thinner solution. Mixing rations depend on gun settings, see datasheet for more information.  Thinner is compatible with on all colors as well.
