Dark Brown Rust DB-10
by Brushing on SteelDB-10 imparts a Dark Brown Rust Finish upon Brushing or Dipping.
Steel Parts should be thoroughly cleaned and prepped prior to usage.
Directions:
- Prepare the Steel Surface by brushing SURCLEAN-400 to degrease and descale.
- Rinse with Water. Ensure no cleaning solution remains on surface.
- Brush DB-10 on Surface until Surface is entirely covered. Pay attention to edges and hard to reach areas. Initially a pink/red finish develops. Add more Solution to your surface and brush vigorously until part beings to darken. After darkening begins, let the part sit.
- Let Part sit for 3-5 Minutes for the finish to become more brown.
- Rinse with Water. Ensure no Patina remains on surface.
- Let the Part remain wet/moist while drying. The wet areas will develop a yellow rust within 1-2 hours.
- After yellow rust develops. Using a wet sponge or cloth, selectively remove yellow rust to highlight the part.
- Air dry the part.
- Seal Patina with an appropriate Lacquer for Metal.

Directions:
- Prepare the Steel Surface by brushing SURCLEAN-400 to degrease and descale.
- Rinse with Water. Ensure no cleaning solution remains on surface.
- Brush Rusty Red on Surface until Surface is entirely covered. Pay attention to edges and hard to reach areas. Immediately upon brushing/dipping, a pink red finish will develop.
- Let Part sit for 1 hour to for the pink finish to become a Red Rust Finish. For better results, let the part sit for 12 hours.
- When part is completely dry and the rusting is complete, Seal the surface with an appropriate Lacquer for Metal.
